Route

Starting from Timberline Lodge we start this lollipop loop with a warm-up traversing the PCT trail just under Mt Hoods Palmer Glacier. The trail will be a combination of rolling hills, steeper hiking sections and single track. There may be a few snow patches lingering in July. Early blooms of wildflowers will just be starting to pop up. Saflely crossing the Zig Zag River we will head toward Paradise Park, hiking up past the Timberline, getting as close to the flanks of Mt Hoods upper alpine vistas as the trail will allow! A gentle downhill run back through the meadow will continue our loop through Paradise Park where we will likely encounter a few easy-to-navigate snow patches before making the return to Timberline Lodge.
